L&rsquo;entreprise a \u00e9t\u00e9 fond\u00e9e par les enseignants chercheurs de l&rsquo;\u00e9quipe de Robotique m\u00e9dicale du laboratoire ICube; Michel de Mathelin, Bernard Bayle et Pierre Renaud ainsi que deux ing\u00e9nieurs docteurs en robotique; Benjamin Maurin et Romuald Ginhoux \u00a0et d&rsquo;un docteur en m\u00e9decine dipl\u00f4m\u00e9 d&rsquo;HEC, Michel Berg. Sur la base d&rsquo;une preuve de concept issue du laboratoire ICube, la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9veloppe et commercialise le premier robot au monde con\u00e7u pour la Stimulation Magn\u00e9tique Transcr\u00e2nienne (TMS).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Qu&rsquo;est ce que la TMS ?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">La Stimulation Magn\u00e9tique Transcr\u00e2nienne est un traitement \u00ab fonctionnel de la d\u00e9pression \u00bb, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire qu\u2019elle s\u2019adresse directement au fonctionnement des tissus qui produisent les neurotransmetteurs et favorisent leurs s\u00e9cr\u00e9tions naturelles.\u00a0Nous savons gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la neuro-imagerie, que lors d\u2019une d\u00e9pression s\u2019installent des zones d\u2019hypoactivit\u00e9 et des zones d\u2019hyperactivit\u00e9.\u00a0La TMS\u00a0l\u00e8ve ce blocage et restaure une activit\u00e9 normale des zones touch\u00e9es.<br \/>\nIl existe donc plusieurs protocoles, certains permettant d\u2019activer les zones d\u00e9ficientes et inversement.<br \/>\nCes diff\u00e9rent protocoles sont d\u00e9termin\u00e9s par le m\u00e9decin, l\u2019observation clinique ainsi que des tests psychologiques sp\u00e9cifiques.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Autre avantage : non invasive, pr\u00e9sentant peu ou pas d&rsquo;effets secondaires, la TMS est tr\u00e8s bien tol\u00e9r\u00e9e par les patients.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u00abSeulement 1 \u00e0 3\u00a0% des patients abandonnent, contre 30 \u00e0 40\u00a0% pour les m\u00e9dicaments\u00bb<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u00a0estime Samuel Bulteau, psychiatre au CHU de Nantes. Ces atouts en font une arme suppl\u00e9mentaire bienvenue pour les professionnels confront\u00e9s aux d\u00e9pressions r\u00e9sistantes aux traitements antid\u00e9presseurs (20 \u00e0 30\u00a0% des cas) et une alternative int\u00e9ressante \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9lectroconvulsivoth\u00e9rapie, nouveau nom donn\u00e9 aux \u00e9lectrochocs, tr\u00e8s efficaces mais n\u00e9cessitant une anesth\u00e9sie g\u00e9n\u00e9rale.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-672\" src=\"http:\/\/www.medtech-strasbourg.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/TMS-300x239.jpg\" alt=\"Applications de la TMS\" width=\"422\" height=\"336\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Les applications de la TMS :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"col-sm-12 col-xs-12\">\n<li>Les troubles obsessionnels compulsifs<\/li>\n<li>Les troubles anxieux<\/li>\n<li>Stress et d\u00e9pression post-traumatique<\/li>\n<li>Les addictions de toutes sortes<\/li>\n<li>Les troubles du comportement alimentaire<\/li>\n<li>Les hallucinations auditives<\/li>\n<li>Les acouph\u00e8nes<\/li>\n<li>Les douleurs chroniques<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Selon Axilum Robotics, 4 millions de Fran\u00e7ais souffrent de douleurs neuropathiques chroniques et 6 millions connaissent un \u00e9tat d\u00e9pressif. Pour bon nombre de ces patients, les traitements m\u00e9dicamenteux sont impuissant, la TMS offre donc une r\u00e9elle alternative non invasive et plus facilement applicable. Cette th\u00e9rapie couvre \u00e9galement les s\u00e9quelles d&rsquo;accidents vasculaires c\u00e9r\u00e9braux (AVC) qui concernent 150 000 personnes par an.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Une application qui se d\u00e9mocratise lentement mais surement\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u00ab\u00a0Aux Etats-Unis la TMS est rembours\u00e9e depuis 2012, en Allemagne depuis 2014. La France est un peu en retard mais la situation \u00e9volue, notamment \u00e0 Strasbourg o\u00f9 une \u00e9quipe de recherche men\u00e9 par le professeur Foucher, \u00e0 l&rsquo;origine de l&rsquo;id\u00e9e d&rsquo;Axilum Robotics, accompagne le processus de changement. Le risque technologique est donc \u00e0 pr\u00e9sent derri\u00e8re nous. Nous misons sur la croissance du march\u00e9 et l&rsquo;\u00e9l\u00e9vation du niveau de remboursement, la qualit\u00e9 de la proc\u00e9dure apport\u00e9e par la machine et la productivit\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>analyse Michel Berg, Directeur d&rsquo;Axilum Robotics. Le robot est d\u00e9j\u00e0 utilis\u00e9 en France, en Espagne, au Danemark, au Br\u00e9sil et tr\u00e8s prochainement au Canada. Elle le sera \u00e9galement \u00e0 tr\u00e8s court terme \u00e0 l&rsquo;h\u00f4pital Civil de Strasbourg, qui va l&rsquo;int\u00e9grer dans une plate forme de soins qui sera inaugur\u00e9e en juin :<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u00ab\u00a0c&rsquo;est la premi\u00e8re plateforme qui b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiera d&rsquo;un accord de prise en charge au titre de l&rsquo;hospitalisation de jour pour le traitement de la d\u00e9pression et de la douleur\u00a0\u00bb<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>nous explique Michel Berg.<\/p>\n<p>Axilum Robotics a engrang\u00e9 en 2015, 700 000 euros de chiffre d&rsquo;affaires uniquement en exportant et esp\u00e8re atteindre 1 millions cette ann\u00e9e.
